This is a beautiful decorated table clock. It stands on a white with red marble base and gold colored legs. On top of the base we find the email dial with the movement. The movement is made by Vincenti & Cie in 1855. It is also stamped : Medaille d'argent, Vincenti & cie 1855. Here is some information about the maker: Jean Vincenti (d 1834) Biography of clockmaker Jean Vincenti (d 1834) Jean Vincenti started his clockmaking workshops before 1823 in Montbeliard, France but went bankrupt a year later, whereupon the clock manufacturer Roux took on the management on his behalf, making the roulant blancs (rough movements) for clockmakers to finish and use. Vincenti died in 1834 with the clockmaking business that he started continuing to win numerous awards including the Medaille d’Argent (silver medal) in 1855. If you check the pictures you see that the movement is very clean. it has been cleaned and checked by a clockmaker and it works for 100%. The clock is complete, it comes with bell, key and pendulum. The dial is surrounded by very nice made decorations in gold color. On top of the dial we find a beautifully made figurine of a young woman which made of alloy is playing with a young jaguar. The young jaguar is pulling the cloths of the woman and she is trying to pull the cloths back. Both figures are made very precisely and very fine. Beautiful quality.
