Company Information:
Founded in 1896 by Coen Kurz, with prior expertise from the Tielse company Daalderop, the company began as C. Kurz & Co., Holland, specializing in metalworking. Following a factory fire in 1899, a new factory equipped with a steam engine was established. In 1906, a second factory in Kleef focused on gas and petroleum lamp production. Over time, the company diversified into copper, nickel, and gilded decorative objects, alongside aluminum household items. World War I saw the company pivot to ammunition production.

The company gradually shifted towards decorative arts, embracing Jugendstil designs. Tinwork commenced in 1935, alongside new silver production.

By the 1960s, the company exclusively produced nostalgic tinware, garnering collector interest. In the 1970s, a special collection of lacquered tin faucet jugs debuted for the northern Dutch market.

In 1984, Roelen tin foundry acquired the tin division, becoming the largest tin foundry in the Netherlands. Relocating to Zeist in 1987, the company continues its legacy at J. v. Oldenbarneveltlaan 46, operating as Kurz-Edeltin.
