A rare matching pair of handmade French Louis XVI–style twin bed frames dating from 1950, featuring elegant corbeille forms, soft white finishes, hand-painted pastel floral decoration and refined gold leaf accents.

Finding two identical French bed frames of this design is unusual, making this pair especially attractive for a symmetrical bedroom, guest room or children’s room.

Each bed features a gracefully shaped headboard and matching footboard with curved Louis XVI / corbeille-inspired lines. The wooden frames have been newly repainted in a soft white finish, creating a fresh and elegant background for the decorative details.

Hand-painted floral motifs in delicate pastel colors decorate the frames, while genuine gold leaf accents highlight the carved ornamentation and add warmth and refinement. The combination of white, floral painting and gilded details gives the beds a romantic French château-inspired character.
