This is a very beautiful antique French biscuit porcelain item, from the mid-19th century.
It portrays a lady figurine sitting underneath a bow of wine leaves and branches in a garden, on a little sofa bench. A male figure on the left is talking to her and it looks like a romantic scene. She is holding a rose.
The way in which the dress and clothing were crafted is very beautiful. It is all very detailed and looks real. You can also see the hairs shaped beautifully and very naturally.
This is a summer scene, the wine leaves and branches are in full blossom. This is typical for the south of France.
Some minor parts of the wine leaves are off, as is normal for its age and authenticity. There are no old restorations and it is generally in a very good condition. This is a very beautiful and unique item to put in a showcase, or on a table. Both of the figurines are untouched and complete.
